My happiest moment today:

For yesterday – because I fell asleep.

I took the time out to site see. The Delores Mission Area is nice and there is a park we can go back to and explore.

Then into the Castro. Adam really enjoyed running on the sidewalk and going into stores, just like we used to in Montrose. We waited for a cable car but the time ran out since we needed to get home to meet the plumber. (Valve for gas dryer was installed). Henry said that people kept looking at us. Whether it was Adam or Henry and I we’ll not know. But I guess we turn heads.

It was good to get out of the house.

While waiting for the plumber, I heard a little boy. His name was Roman and he was his grandfather Jeffery. So I invited our new neighbors into our messy house. They moved into the neighborhood a month ago. Roman is 3 and he and Adam played nicely. Jeffrey is a semi-retired artist with an English accent who’s lived in SF for 30+ years. It was Adam’s first play date.

Measuring progress by boxes.

The Moving in saga contributes. In not sure which day it is.

But I’m amazed that the furniture is set up in most of the Rooms. Once I get the space planning done it goes quickly. But until I get a vision of it there is no progress.

Henry has been wonderful. And at the same time I don’t have time for Adam like he’s used too. I feel badly but we also cannot live on box land for a month. That’s no way to live or help Adam adjust.

AAA has been having tummy aches and talks about home a tiny bit. Mostly it’s trains and movies and iPhone. He has some mild diarrhea but other than that he’s ok.

The ugly kitchen was large enough and the it’s done. I was really spoiled with my nice La Crescenta stove and cabinets; I really lived into it.

Dining room is set up and I found a place for the hideous breakfast bar. Room is set up pretty good. I couldn’t imagine how many toys he had. This is no joke I’m shocked and astonished at how many toys he has. I will be donating liberally because I have not got rid of any toys of his for the last two and half years.

My dad is set up in the dresser and nightstand are in place – but little else. I biggest personal triumph was finding my shampoo and body wash after two days.

Tonight I put my first screws in the wall by hung up the coat rack. It is San Francisco after all.

The newest San Franciscans are tired and going to bed.

Other than Adam face planting off of his mini trampoline, and getting a big lip (thankfully no stitches) we are doing good.

Woke up at 7 this morning been going ever since. Marta and Maria at the house at 8:30 to pack boxes. Jesus and his crew showed up at 10 to load the truck.

Lunch around 1230 on the road shortly after 2 PM.

Arrived in San Francisco about nine and felt very optimistic about the move.

Now I’m just plain tired.

“This is my own bike”

It took until 11:40 AM for him to notice that there was a big blanket in front of the fireplace. Santa came after all.

My happiest moment today:

Getting a hug from Adam and I say “Merry Christmas”. I squeeze him tight and unsolicited he says “Merry Christmas, Daddy”. I could tell that he meant it.

“Community and Culture”

Watching a cute Christmas movie and this was a little phrase that they said. Kinda stuck with me.
