Got the keys to the new beach house today.

I’m not saying we are walking to the beach every night, but it’s an option that won’t soon get old.

Had take- away from Camelot Fish n Chips by the new place and dined on the floor of the new dining room.

Also took advantage of a give away of a table and chairs at the Vintage Cottage around the corner. I felt like a thief but the style of the chairs is great and the new guest house needs a settling. The style is good and they are solid wood 50′s style.

Adam discovered the surveillance system and it’s 8 cameras that capture all the grounds. He also spilled juice without telling me and let it really soak into the new carpet. Yep, that’s my boy.

This is gonna be fun.

He’s a big boy now

Time for his first chore chart and he gets to earn IPAD time.

For 20 minutes of iPad he needs to put on his clothes by himself, brush his teeth, feed the doggies, make his bed, not come into Daddy and Henry’s room at night and have a conversation with us about his day.

I cannot wait for a little more independence.

My Sunday night

Dinner going on one side of the kitchen and cloths still need folded on the other side so I can sit and eat it. Am I the only one?

Teddy Bear Picnic

Today was the 32nd Annual Teddy Bear Picnic at Little Bear School. Adam choose Adolf on his own, to attend. The Bears go to the park with the kids and then they are lined up and each kid gives a little tiny treat to each bear. 32 stuffed bears to be exact.

Adam was so exited and tonight I pretended that Adolf was whispering in my ear. AAA totally believed he was talking to me. I was a good actor at first. Stuff like “Adam, Adolph says you put him in a backpack for a long time.” Adam let me know that he had to in order to get on the bus and get him safely to the park.

One interesting thing about a parent. They approached the teacher because Adam’s bear is named Adolf and wanted to know why that name. The teacher said that I have a thing for ‘A’ names which isn’t the reason. But the nerve of some people.

The real story – the day I adopted Adam, the judge gave us this little white bear. In my mind, the name ‘Adolf’ was as close to ‘Adopt’ as I could get.

An once of pretension is would a pound of manure.

AAA’s first note to me.

It’s bitter sweet. He didn’t want me to leave him at preschool on Friday.

He wrote “daddy, come back”. I can definitely see his name has improved.
