Watching fireworks with Adam and Stacy through the living room window. Adam’s new word “Cool”!Stacy came over with food and companionship right when I needed it and when Adam was coming off his 5.5 hour nap.
After a light bite and some chatter she soothes a very nervous Zack who heard the pops and crackles from neighborhood fireworks.
Then Stacy sees fireworks out my front window out of the corner of her eye. Wonderful end to a draining day. Adam sat on my lap and we watched for a long time. It was his first fireworks and at first he was tentative but warmed up. “oh”, “ah” and “cool”.
Last year I’d had him less than a week so it wasn’t on our radar. This year he was sick so I reigned to no outing but the fireworks and friends came to us!
