Getting a new born photo of Adam! All of his pics with me are from 13 months old and the bio family didn’t take any.

Sofa picnic with Adam – cheese, meat, crackers, blueberries, strawberries and a dog that steals scraps.

Sadly it was while I was rushing around and not paying attention and Adam began crying cry with arms up to be picked up. The reason I’m calling this the happiest ( besides it being a bad day ) is that I realized he wanted ME. Not juice, not Thomas the train, not his new toy – just me.

A genuine and unsolicited kiss and hug from my son. It was right when I needed it – After a full hour of focused play with my toddler and I was exhausted and wondering how many hours are in a Sunday afternoon. He came over with arms open and I thought he was falling, but it was a big ole hug.
