We re-built train tracks tonight. One happy kid and proud papa. Getting on the floor is fun.
As a close 2nd, I found a road to hope that’s 5 mins shorter today. I also had a great conversation that will lead to more hope as well.

I prematurely blogged. I put Adam to bed and he spontaneously put his arms around my neck, hugs me and says “I got you!” And then looks me in the eye and does it again.
Yup – a moment of joy.
I’ve been unsure of a wall I’m taking out as to whether it was load bearing or not. I made a doorway and thought I could live with it. But I keep procrastinating because I just don’t like it.
Today, I decided to dig in and knock out the lathe and plaster since I can always put sheet rock up.
Then I went a step further and pulled out the center supports. I have the 2 ends studs up only.
I love it. It’s open and light. I’m still not sure if the wall is load bearing but ill figure it out.
AAA kept insisting “don’t open this door, ever” in this bossy and slightly deep toddler voice. And he kept repeating it over – like a good 20 times.
Well, I don’t talk about it but the previous owner died in the house and every now and then I feel her. Her ‘place’ in the house is literally in the walk closet that is becoming the new 2nd bath.
AAA repeating and acting diabolical, was so insistent that it spooked me. Like, what if he was channeling something? I only felt Margaret a little today but when Adam was repeating himself I felt a tinge of her.
Spooky stuff.
The Beach this morning with AAA. We got ready, and the marine layer was still in place. We played, ate goldfish crackers, had trucks and a beach ball. And best of all for me, we ducked into Coast for a fancy lunch.
He really doesn’t realize how fortunate we are some days.
After dinner, we played on the lawn. Sun going down, playing tag and just kinda fun.
The little La Crescenta fireworks and festival were just right.
At first we were so close that the noise was horrible. But we backed up and it was awesome.
Adam was enthralled and it was his first real fireworks. ( last year we watched from the living room window in Altadena.
