Adam wanted milk right after preschool so we went 3 blocks away to the Coffee Bean. Along the way he drops his shorts down to his feet and tells me, “I want bare legs.” No shame.

First week of preschool with new germs – check
Allergic flair up with change of season – check
Out of allergy medicine for two days – check
One glowing red ear at noon and 100 degree temp – check
“Daddy – I’m hot, I want my blanket” yep

Big budget presentation at work tomorrow – check

I forecast for a living and should’ve seen this coming.

I’m excited . . .

Things have been a bit tumultuous and I’ve been thinking and pondering and trying to keep going. Even when I’ve worked until 3am.

A surprising thing happened yesterday morning. I was up after 3 hours of sleep and getting ready to shower, and looked into the mirror blurted “now the miracle begins”.

Somehow I knew that my life is about to change. I’m excited but anxious but have faith it will all work out.

We never see the hours of mental struggle and prayer. A few nights ago I really broke it down. I really am ready for things to get better.

It’s right now to be honest. I worked 3 AM. Got up, put in a full day talking about budgets too. Also got my long awaited —— plan from my boss.

Took Adam to Montrose for a walk about and dinner. He wanted to show me his food. Then grocery store and home. He was so active.

When he uses the bathroom he says ” I want some piracy “. It’s so cute.

Picking up Adam from school and I saw the board for “Families”. I was concerned that our family was so small. I combed through our pictures to be sure it represented us well. You know what? Our family looks just as good as any other AND our pictures are better than most. We have a good life.

My happiest moment today:

I had 2 and I’m not choosing –
1) Adam made a star and in the car he sang Twinkle Twinkle to me. I’m not a big singer so I know he learned it in class.
2) AAA told me to lay down on the sofa and to sleep. Then he started repeating and acting out my nightly ritual with him. It’s obviously made an impression on him.
